Dance for Parkinson’s is a welcoming movement program at Southern Arc Dance designed for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease. Through music, guided movement, imagery, and creative expression, participants are encouraged to explore movement in an enjoyable and supportive environment.
Classes focus on ability, artistry, and connection while addressing areas that may be affected by Parkinson’s, including balance, flexibility, coordination, strength, and range of motion. Movements can be adapted to meet each participant’s comfort level, and no previous dance experience is required. Care partners are welcome and encouraged to participate.
