Southern Arc Dance’s Artists in Residence bring exceptional professional experience, artistic knowledge, and inspiration into our dance community. Through master classes, workshops, coaching, rehearsals, and creative collaboration, these accomplished artists give dancers opportunities to learn from professionals who have performed and taught with respected dance companies throughout the United States and around the world.

Working with experienced professional artists allows dancers to strengthen their technique, explore new approaches to movement, and gain a deeper understanding of the dedication and artistry required in the dance profession. These experiences help connect Southern Arc Dance students with the larger professional dance community while encouraging confidence, discipline, versatility, and creative growth.

MEET OUR ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE

Myrna Kamara

Myrna Kamara is an internationally recognized ballet artist who trained at the School of American Ballet and performed with New York City Ballet. She later became a principal dancer with Miami City Ballet and Béjart Ballet Lausanne, bringing extensive experience in classical and contemporary ballet to the dancers she teaches and coaches.

Kareen Pauld Camargo

Kareen Pauld Camargo has more than 30 years of experience as a dancer, educator, choreographer, director, and arts leader. Her professional career includes performing with Dance Theatre of Harlem and Miami City Ballet, and she continues to share her knowledge with the next generation of dancers through teaching and mentorship.

Luc Louis de Lairesse

Luc Louis de Lairesse brings experience connected with New York City Ballet and is the founding director of San Francisco Pacific Ballet. He has also served as a guest master with ballet organizations in Berlin, Hannover, Nancy, Basel, and other international communities.

Dominique Angel

Dominique Angel trained at the Joffrey Ballet School before performing with Joffrey II, The Joffrey Ballet, and Miami City Ballet. Her career as a professional dancer and educator allows her to share valuable insight into classical technique, musicality, stage presence, and artistic expression.

Joseph Kerwin

Joseph Kerwin brings professional coaching and company experience as a former ballet master with the National Ballet of Finland. His background offers dancers valuable guidance in classical technique, movement quality, discipline, and professional preparation.

Daniel Chait

Daniel Chait’s professional dance experience includes American Ballet Theatre, Twyla Tharp Dance Company, and Boston Ballet. His diverse background provides dancers with insight into classical ballet, contemporary movement, musicality, versatility, and professional performance.

Suzie Serp

Suzie Serp brings experience with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Oakland Ballet Company, along with training at the Paris Conservatory in France. Her background offers dancers an international perspective on classical ballet training, performance, and artistic development
