Coweta Inclusive Dance Program

MOVEMENT, EXPRESSION, AND CONNECTION FOR EVERY STUDENT

Southern Arc Dance offers an inclusive dance and movement program for students with developmental disabilities in the Coweta County school community. Through music, guided movement, and creative expression, participants are encouraged to explore their abilities, build confidence, and experience the joy of dance in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Activities are thoughtfully adapted to honor each student’s individual strengths and needs while encouraging coordination, body awareness, emotional expression, communication, and social connection. Every participant is valued, celebrated, and given the opportunity to move, create, and belong.

ROOTED IN ART. GROWING THROUGH COMMUNITY.

train. grow. perform

Southern Arc Dance’s Dance Without Limits program provides a welcoming pathway for dancers who are interested in developing the skills needed to participate in Special Olympics DanceSport. Through rhythm, music, partnering, adapted choreography, and performance-based activities, dancers strengthen coordination, balance, body awareness, musicality, and confidence in a supportive environment where every achievement is celebrated.

Participants are encouraged to grow at their own pace while learning the value of teamwork, focus, perseverance, and self-expression. More than preparation for competition, the program gives dancers opportunities to form friendships, experience the excitement of performing, and take pride in sharing their abilities with others. Each class is designed to help participants feel capable, connected, and empowered as they work toward future DanceSport opportunities.
